We strongly recommend having some boating experience. If you don’t have experience, we will teach you everything you need to know in order to safely operate the vessel. We have a thorough checkout procedure that covers vessel operation, rules of the water, and emergency procedures. Your safety and enjoyment are our #1 priority!

We rent 24′ Berkshire & Landau Pontoon Boats. The Berkshires have Mercury 60hp CT outboard motors and the Landaus have 90hp Suzuki outboard motors. The boats have a bimini top which covers approximately 40% of the deck (for shade). All of our vessels have stereos with Bluetooth compatibility. Our boats also have boarding ladders (for easy boarding) if you choose to go swimming.
-
1 Captain and 9 Passengers are permitted per boat.
-
Our boats can operate in the Rehoboth Bay and Rehoboth/Lewes Canal. This body of water is very large and will provide countless hours of entertainment. We do not allow our boats in the Indian River Bay or the Atlantic Ocean. This means NO PARADISE GRILL.
Sightseeing, swimming, fishing, and crabbing are just a few of the possibilities. You can also bring rafts to float on while the vessel is anchored. Towable activities (i.e. tubing and waterskiing) are prohibited. Ask our employees for recommendations! We can guide you to various cruising locations and points of interest!
-
So many options: cruising around, fishing, crabbing, sightseeing, swimming, etc…please consult our employees for recommendations to make your rental an awesome experience!
Towable activities (i.e. tubing and waterskiing) are prohibited.

We take great pride in our equipment. If a renter damages a rental boat they are fully responsible (just like a rental car). With that being said, we go over all the rules and necessary operating procedures before you hit the water. You can download or view a copy of our Release of Liability/Waiver and Departure/Safety Checklist using the link on this page.
-
Yes, we recommend bringing drinks and food. There is plenty of room for a cooler! Our employees will be happy to help you load your items on the vessel. ***Please note: Vessel operation under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol is STRICTLY PROHIBITED***

Most of the weather forecasts for the Maryland and Delaware shore come from far away and as a result are usually inaccurate (in terms of precipitation). In addition, shore weather can be fickle and often isolated. For example, it may be raining in Bethany Beach and sunny in Dewey Beach. Often they will forecast a 50% chance of rain and we don’t get a single drop, whereas other times they forecast a 10% chance of rain and it rains all day.
OUR RECOMMENDATION: Make the reservations for when you would like to go and in the event of inclement weather we will contact you to reschedule for later that day or another day. You can always call prior to your reservation to get a weather update from us. You can rest assured that the managers and staff at Dewey Beach Watersports constantly monitor the weather (in real time) to ensure a safe and memorable trip! In the event that your trip is shortened due to weather conditions, you will receive a non-expiring credit for the remaining balance. This credit can be used for future bookings at your convenience.
